Inglenook is one of Napa Valley’s most historic and prestigious wine estates, with a legacy that dates back to the 19th century. It was founded in 1879 by Finnish sea captain Gustave Niebaum, who envisioned creating wines in California that could rival the best of Europe. Today, Inglenook is renowned for its flagship Cabernet Sauvignon, produced from estate vineyards in Rutherford, a terroir celebrated for its power and elegance. The wines are crafted under the direction of Philippe Bascaules, who also works with Château Margaux in Bordeaux, ensuring that the estate combines Old World finesse with New World intensity. Inglenook’s portfolio also includes Rubicon, a Bordeaux-style blend that has become the estate’s signature, along with other varietals that showcase the diversity of the vineyard holdings.
