The 14th annual Cask Strength series from Angel's Envy features the first age stated expression from the brand. Crafted by Master Distiller Owen Martin, this limited edition whiskey is aged for a total of 10 years in new American oak and port wine barrels. Bottled at a cask strength of 122.6 proof (61.3% ABV), there were 24,480 bottles produced. Highlighting the 10 year-old release, availability begins October 10, 2025 in limited quantities at select US retailers and at the Angel's Envy Distillery in Louisville, KY.

Angel’s Envy Private Selection Single Barrel 110 Proof is a limited, high-strength expression that takes the brand’s port cask–finished bourbon to a more intense level. It opens with bold aromas of dark cherry, fig, caramel, and toasted oak, underscored by hints of vanilla and warm spice. On the palate, it is powerful yet refined, delivering concentrated flavors of black fruit, toffee, cocoa, and cinnamon balanced by a rich, velvety texture. The port finish amplifies notes of raisin and plum, while the higher proof brings extra depth and warmth. The finish is long and robust, leaving layers of oak, fruit, and spice that linger with elegance.
Starter: Smoked meats, charcuterie, or spiced nuts. Main Course: Grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, roast duck, or venison. Cheese: Blue cheese, aged gouda, or sharp cheddar. Dessert: Dark chocolate truffles, bread pudding with bourbon sauce, or fig cake.

Angel's Envy

Angel’s Envy is a Kentucky-based bourbon brand founded in 2010 by legendary Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson, along with his son Wes Henderson. After decades of experience creating some of the most recognizable American whiskies, Lincoln launched Angel’s Envy as a family project to push the boundaries of bourbon-making while honoring tradition. The name reflects the concept of the “angel’s share”—the portion of whiskey lost to evaporation during barrel aging—suggesting that what remains is so exceptional it inspires envy even among angels.

What sets Angel’s Envy apart is its innovative approach to finishing. While the bourbon follows traditional methods of production—crafted from a carefully selected mash bill, distilled in Kentucky, and aged in new charred American oak barrels—it is then finished in port wine casks. This secondary maturation adds depth and a distinctive character, pioneering a style that has since become influential in the bourbon industry.

The brand has expanded its offerings to include limited releases, such as ryes finished in rum casks and special single-barrel editions, all emphasizing creativity without sacrificing quality. Today, Angel’s Envy is recognized as both a disruptor and a guardian of craftsmanship, carrying forward the Henderson family legacy while setting new standards for innovation in American whiskey.
