Launched in 1999 by William Grant & Sons, it was created by master distiller Lesley Gracie in Girvan, Scotland, at a time when gin was not yet enjoying the global renaissance it has today. The gin itself is produced in small batches using two rare stills: a Carter-Head still from 1948 and a Bennett pot still from 1860.
